ABOUT
Welcome to our little bach. We bought this place for our growing family early in 2018, and already we have had some sunny days and rowdy nights. With two little ones (and one bigger one!) and busy lives, we can't be here all the time.
So we would love to open it up for our friends and family (and friends of friends and family) for rental when we are not there. It's a real kiwi bach, and you won't find it on Airbnb - so don't expect mints under the pillow, but do expect to have a fun time!

The Property
Our bach is located in Himatangi Beach, less than 2 hours drive north of Wellington on SH1.
Its a little 2 bedroom cottage, with a modern kitchen/bathroom and a wood fire.
Outside is Petal the caravan and a sleep out. The property sleeps a total of 6, but there's plenty of room for tents!
AMENITIES
The Beach
The beach is a 700m walk away. Himatangi Surf Club is open all summer from dawn to dusk and it pays to swim between the flags. The lagoon is perfect for the little ones to paddle in.

Outside
The sliding door opens onto a patio, with a BBQ, and an outdoor fire for those cold nights. The kids can play on the swing and slide set in full view whilst you nurse a wine or two, or you can shoot some hoops on the basketball court. Dogs are welcome outside.
Inside​
On the odd chance that the weather is a bit crap you can enjoy our old TV with an extensive collection of DVDs from the 2000s. There's also plenty of books, board games, and even an Xbox! The fire heats the whole place up in no time. There is no internet, but we get 4G.

Housekeeping
There isn't! So please bring your own linen. Also there is no cleaning service, so please keep the place clean and tidy. There is a washer, dryer and dishwasher.
Cooking
The bach has a full kitchen including an oven with hobs, and a microwave. We find we cook most meals on the 4-burner BBQ.

THINGS TO DO
Himatangi Beach
​
Is a cool little beach town, with a couple of places to eat and drink. The store does fresh bread on Sundays and you can buy beer there! (and other essentials). There's plenty of events throughout the summer. Find out more here or here
Foxton Beach
​
Is ten minutes down the road and is full of cool eateries, second hand/thrift shopping and other bits and bobs. We do our shopping at the New World there. It also has a beach, but ours is better.
Other Places
​
If you really feel the need for some retail therapy, Palmy is 35 minutes away by car. Levin is also about 20 minutes south on SH1.
To be honest, we're still exploring the place a bit - so let us know if you find anything cool!
